CES Allt det senaste från världens största elektronikmässa

Att följa CES online under var onekligen en upplevelse, men vi är glada att se mässan återvända till sitt vanliga format , även om det blir lite annorlunda jämfört med tidigare år.

Under CES som äger rum i januari får vi ta del av en mängd nya enheter från branschens största aktörer. Det blir bland annat banbrytande TV-teknik från LG, Samsung och Sony, plus nya bärbara datorer, smartphones, smartklockor och hörlurar. 

Vi förväntar oss dock en något mer dämpad uppvisning än tidigare år på grund av den pågående Covidpandemin och dess inverkan på internationella resor (i slutet av december meddelade CTA att alla deltagare måste genomgå ett PCR-test för COVID innan de får komma in i någon av lokalerna). Men som läget är nu säger CTA att de flesta huvudaktörer kommer att återvända till sina vanliga platser på mässgolvet i Las Vegas Convention Center.

CES &#; Consumer Electronics Show &#; sets its sights on Vegas every January and marks the beginning of the year for many major tech brands. Expect to see a huge range of new products from TVs and laptops to phones and home tech.

Last year, the event was forced online due to the Covid pandemic. While the organisers made the decision to return to a physical event in , whether or not it retains the scale of previous years remains to be seen, especially as a number of companies opted to forego an appearance this year.

CES dates

CES is a week-long event split up into two distinct sections. Monday, January 3 sees the CES Unveiled gardin raiser. Tuesday January 4 is the Media Day where many of the major press conferences take place – that includes LG, Sony, Samsung, Intel and Qualcomm.

CES (; formerly an initialism for Consumer Electronics Show)[3] is an annual trade show organized by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). Held in January at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Winchester, Nevada, United States, the event typically hosts presentations of new products and technologies in the consumer electronics industry.

History

The first CES was held in June in New York City. It was a spin-off of the Chicago Music Show which, until then, had served as the main event for exhibiting consumer electronics. The event had 17, attendees and over exhibitors; the kickoff speaker was Motorola chairman Bob Galvin.[4] From to , CES was held twice each year: once in January in Las Vegas as the Winter Consumer Electronics Show (WCES) and once in June in Chicago as the Summer Consumer Electronics Show (SCES).
